- A size of its own, ⁦45 x 57⁩ mm, with a head of at least 30 mm and no maximum published — the upper end of the band here is this tool’s. The file must be a JPG between 200 KB and 6 MB. It may be a year old and in black and white, tinted prescription lenses are refused even when the eyes show, and on a first application a guarantor signs the back of the print.
- No eye line is published, so the band shown is where the eyes fall on a head sitting centred in the frame. It is guidance rather than a requirement, and is never painted red.
